FIPC History
The Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church was organized March 17, 1889, and is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and Foothills Presbytery. Through its history, God has challenged and blessed the church in its ministry and mission. The congregation seriously takes its commitment to the Great Commission: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20).
A congregation of 14 charter members has grown to 350 active members and 550 total adherence members. The first building erected was the sanctuary in 1891; and today, the church enjoys a beautifully landscaped campus with three major buildings. The latest building addition is the Christian Fellowship Center that was dedicated in 2004.
Through the years, the church has maintained a strong mission emphasis at home and abroad. Our adults and youth believe that mission begins at home; however, God calls us to wherever there is a need. Adults and youth make annual pilgrimages within and outside the borders of the United States carrying the message of Gods love and grace.
Throughout the history of the FIPC, the congregation has been at its best when it confessed its faith seriously, experienced the gifts of God personally, and engaged in Gods commission boldly. Today, our church family seeks to maintain a rich history and tradition. We welcome you to join us.

Our Presbyterian Beliefs
As members of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we express our faith through written confessions. Our confessions affirm the following beliefs:
1) Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior; Christ alone is the head of the church.
2) God is personal and has revealed himself as the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God redeems us in Christ and moves in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
3) All humankind has fallen because of sin and thus is in need of a Savior: Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus bore our sin, making atonement by His blood. In Christ, we are forgiven and raised to new life. As humans, we are saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ. We do not earn or deserve Gods salvation; instead, we receive it as a gift by Gods grace and love.
4) The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, revealing the truth about God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
